Institute of Health Science (Dental Prosthesis)

A dental prosthesis is an intraoral (inside the mouth) prosthesis used to restore (reconstruct) intraoral defects such as missing teeth, missing parts of teeth, and missing soft or hard structures of the jaw and palate. Prosthodontics is the dental specialty that focuses on dental prostheses.

Vision

  • In the field of oral and dental health, to emerge as one of the leading departments in the field of health with its well-equipped and standardized dental laboratory in Afghanistan.

Mission

  • To provide professional and scientific cadres with proper, standardized and advanced laboratory technology to carry out the mission of the Dental Department to serve the health facilities in the field of health.

Goals

  • Oral and dental hygiene.
  • Training of professional and scientific cadres in the field of dentistry.
  • Making teeth in a modern manner, preventing of oral and dental diseases.

Abilities After Completion

  • Upon completion of the program, students will be able to work as a dental technician in the hospital's dental laboratory.
  • Will be able to use advanced technology for oral and dental diseases.
  • Will be able to make health recommendations to the community to keep their teeth healthy.
  • Will be able to evaluate and monitor the process of sterilization of medical devices and equipment and make teeth in a new and modern way.
