The Medical Faculty of Bost University has started its academic activity in Year 1393. The Faculty of Medicine is actively contained now from the first semester to the final semester, consisting of 880 students, 667 males and 213 females, as well as the teaching and practical activities of the students are held by 50 specialists, masters and undergraduate lecturers.
The Faculty of Medicine has three departments: Para Clinic Department, Interior Department, and Surgical Department. There are Physiology, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemical and Histopathology Laboratories, Computer Labs and has its own teaching hospital for Para Clinic’s students.
Clinical activities for students’ practical work are included in General Interior, General Surgery, Orthopedic, E.N.T. (ear, nose, and throat), and Acupuncture, Pediatric, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics & Gynecology. There is a qualified teaching hospital and a well-equipped medical laboratory, blood bank, Sonography, Radiography, Radiology, and Physiotherapy; moreover, these fields are proceeded by 15 specialists and 12 employers for Nursing and Laboratory services, including operations room and bed are available to all counties for better diagnosis and treatment of the disease. The hospital offers 24 hours ambulance services.
